ABOUT
I started Line Nine Pets to marry pet products with home decor. I wanted to create the best bed - aesthetically and functionally - without compromising pets comfort.
By utilizing my extensive experience in custom furniture and residential interior design, I have paired quality materials and practical color palettes with proportion and scale appropriate for our pet's ergonomic needs - creating pet beds that blend into our living spaces and support easy maintenance for our busy lives.
I am a Salt Lake City native who has spent the last 20 years in the California Bay Area. Studying interior design at California College of the Arts, and practicing my professional experience with Douglas Durkin Design from 2009 until my departure in 2024 to pursue Line Nine, and merge my love of animals with my design skills.
Pictured here with my bestie and inspiration Roo, a 15 year old rescue from CatTown, Oakland in 2018. She is one of the many pets - cats, dogs, frogs, horses, lizards, rats - that have been my companions. As a life long animal lover, I've always found a way to connect with them, from adopting a family of ground squirrels to currently volunteering at Lindsay Wildlife in Walnut Creek, California.

Story : Chester, his four siblings, and their mom Opal, were fostered through the cat program at Joybound, formerly Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation, in March of 2019. He was the biggest, fluffiest boy in the litter and when it was time to return the kitties to the shelter for adoption, his forever family couldn't bear to part with him. Story : These 4 year old twin brothers came from Rocket Dog Rescue. Their story entails they were on a farm previously and were into chasing goats - surprising given their short stature. Their humans now believe that after the twins went bezerk herding random cows on a hike, this leading them to discover the twins are a Border Collie-Basset Hound mix.
